Let's take a look at: Perfect Grade 0 Raiser

The Perfect Grade 0 Raiser was released in 2009 as a part of the PG 00 Raiser. Since the PG Skygrapser released in 2005, the 0 Raiser is the only other non Mobile Suit released in the Perfect Grade line (excluding the PG Evangelion).

The 0 Raiser comes packed inside of its own box within the larger PG 00 Raiser. The 'B section' of the kit includes parts for the 0 Raiser, it's weapon system and the GN Sword III. Twenty five runners are included in this section of the kit and the manual dedicates about half of the manual to this section.

For those who are not in the know, the 0 Raiser is a weapons support fighter. And while it can technically function as a 'starfighter', the 0 Raiser is really meant to support the 00 Raiser's twin drive system.

A quick 360 of the unarmed fighter.

Here you can see that the little winglets pop open. I think this is more of a trait for the transformed mode, but you can still fiddle with it here. Also, you can see that the blue cap pieces on each 'wing' can be pulled open to reveal both the 4 missile tubes and the GN cannon on either side of the wings.

The tail opens up. I have no idea why.

A 1/60 scale Saji Crossroads can inhabit the cockpit at the rear of the fuselage. A 1/60 scale Haro also sits inside of the cockpit.

Retractable landing gear

I think this little flap is an airbrake.

Once the 'wings' are removed from the fuselage, part of the grey frame can rotate 180 degrees to reveal the mounts for either GN drive.

The main fuselage folds over onto itself to form the backpack.

One big complaint about this part of this kit is that the seam lines run the length of the wings, and a large gap is left at the tip of the wing.

One of the 'throw away' gimmicks featured on this kit are the weapon and equipment packs. These feature GN missiles, particle disruption missiles, hand missiles, and GN condensors. Most of these are sloppily designed, loose and not particularly interesting.

I love the look of everything laid out in front of the fighter. Even though most of it is forgettable.

Another 360 of the much girthier armed fighter:

The GN sword three mounts to the bottom 0 Raiser, and it includes a single landing gear to balance upon.

Here you can see the GN Sword 3 in its 0 Raiser 'mounted' form and retracted form

Like the MG, the PG includes a ridiculously oversized effect part. I don't really like how it looks, but it is huge.

And yes, it is quite a bit bigger than the 0 Raiser.

Folded up into it's retracted for GN rifle mode.

My GN Sword 3 is a bit... bent. I'll have to straighten it out.
